PREMIER Design and Build Group Launches New Builds in California for First Industrial Realty Trust
June 24, 2022 (Redlands, CA and Fontana, CA) – PREMIER Design + Build Group has broken ground on two new industrial builds in California. Both are for client First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc., a leading owner, operator, and developer of logistics real estate. Upon completion, the two projects will add nearly 550,000 square feet of new industrial space in the region.
First Pioneer Logistics Center is a speculative warehouse on a 21.96-acre site in Redlands, CA. Located in San Bernardino County, First Pioneer will offer 460,805 square feet of interior space. The concrete tilt-up structure will feature a 42’ clear height, 92 dock doors, and four drive-in doors. The site will also feature a sizeable truck court and parking lot for 176 vehicles and 141 trailers. First Pioneer is expected to be completed by early 2023. The new facility is designed to accommodate a single tenant but has flexibility to serve as many as four separate tenants.
First Elm Logistics Center is a speculative industrial project on a 5.13-acre site in Fontana, CA, which is also in San Bernardino County. First Elm will have a 32’ clear height, 12 dock positions, and one drive-in door. This 83,140-square-foot concrete tilt-up building is slated for completion in the second quarter of 2023.
PREMIER’s regional office in California is headed by Steven Gabbert, principal and Southwest market leader. Jeramy Mahfet is senior project manager for First Pioneer, working with project superintendent Adrian Lopez and assistant project superintendent Andres Bautista. PREMIER’s Matt Lindsay is project manager for First Elm, working with project superintendent Nicholas Palmer.

The project team is anticipating that both buildings will achieve LEED Silver certification.
