Large New Warehouse Project Gets Underway in Fontana

August 15, 2022 (Fontana, CA) – PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC has broken ground on I-10 Almond Commerce Center, a 210,355-square foot warehouse building in the city of Fontana in California’s San Bernadino County. This ground up project is a collaboration between developer Real Estate Development Associates ( REDA ), Clarion Partners , LLC as capital partner, and ECM Management, LLC as owner’s rep. The new concrete tilt up S-1 structure will have a 36’ clear height, 8” reinforced concrete slab, and 4-ply built up roof system. It will be outfitted with a K25.2 at 40 psi ESFR sprinkler system and 2,000 GPM fire pump. Within the building shell, PREMIER will also create an office area with mezzanine. The team will install steel upper canopies and sheet metal lower canopies on the structure, which will have two street entrances. On the exterior, PREMIER’s team will add a new concrete lot with parking for 101 vehicles and 32 trailers. Derrick Schuster is serving as senior project manager for PREMIER. Schuster’s team members include Josh Root as senior superintendent and Steven Gabbert, principal, Southwest market leader. “The team at PREMIER is excited to be part of this collaboration, which will deliver another Class A, exceptionally well-located asset to the region,” said Gabbert. “This is the first time we’ve had the opportunity to partner with PREMIER, and we’re really looking forward to working together to bring this vision to life,” said Chad Manista, vice president at REDA. REDA and Clarion tapped HPA, Inc. for architectural design services on the project, which is slated for completion in May 2023. Engineering services will be provided by Thienes Engineering and Darin Fong and Associates, Inc.
