May 19, 2020 (Iselin, NJ) – PREMIER Design + Build Group (“PREMIER”) has completed the construction of two new retail stores for a European grocery chain. The new stores are located in Delaware and New Jersey. The 29,317-square-foot grocery store in Delaware is a new build that required demolition of an existing building and remediation of a brownfield site. The New Jersey location involved fitting out part of a mixed-use building to create a new 32,959-square-foot space. PREMIER was selected as General Contractor for both stores, which feature kitchens, bakeries, and large walk-in refrigeration and freezer areas. Both also include automatic sliding entryways, steel canopies, loading docks with overhead doors, racking systems, and POS systems. Other notable features include a sophisticated building management system for climate control, low voltage wiring, LED lighting, and architectural wall panel exteriors. Both projects were overseen by PREMIER’s Northeast regional office team in New Jersey. Cindy Dunson served as PREMIER’s project manager in Delaware, working with project superintendent Mike Kaufmann. The New Jersey assignment was led by project manager Paul Fawcett, with Bill Cheval as project superintendent.
