Project Update (May 2023) Pictured above, from left to right: Aerials and close-ups taken of Building 5 progress from May 2023 Construction is well underway at The Logistics Campus for Dermody Properties, where the PREMIER Design + Build Group project team is currently hard at work across the entire site. At Building No. 5, footing and foundation work was completed earlier this month and precast panel erection is now nearing completion. This 295,280-square-foot speculative building is part of Phase I of bringing this 10-building, multi-phased logistics center to life. Project Background Pictured above: The former Allstate Campus in Glenview, Illinois Following its acquisition of Allstate Corporation’s former corporate campus in Glenview, Illinois, Dermody Properties' plan for the campus includes redeveloping and transforming the 232-acre site into a 10-building logistics park totaling more than 3.2 million square feet. Dermody retained PREMIER Design + Build Group as the general contractor, currently working on Phase I. Located on Sanders Road, adjacent to Interstate 294, The Logistics Campus will feature state-of-the-art, Class A, sustainable design and construction. These speculative buildings will range from 92,000 square feet to 455,000 square feet, with 36 to 40-foot clear height, dock doors, drive-in doors and trailer and car parking. Groundbreaking – Phase I In October 2022, PREMIER broke ground on Phase I of this multi-phased redevelopment, which includes construction of the first five buildings, collectively spanning 1.2 million square feet. A groundbreaking ceremony was held onsite on Oct 27, 2022, where a multitude gathered to celebrate the start of the project. Those in attendance included: Dermody Property employees and partners, and members from the project team, including: PREMIER (general contractor), Partners in Design (Architect), and Pinnacle Engineering (civil engineer), as well as Village of Glenview staff and trustees. “After The Glen, this logistics campus will be the most significant development ever to come to Glenview, generating millions in new taxes for our schools, parks and vital Village services,” said Michael Jenny, Village of Glenview President. All speculative buildings will feature precast and glass exterior, mechanically fastened TPO roofing, 7" floor slabs and ESFR sprinkler systems, as well as office space with restrooms and break areas. Phase I Specs: Stay tuned for further updates!
