This project involved the renovation and expansion of Abt Electronics’ 114,000-square-foot showroom in Glenview, Illinois. The work added 41,316 square feet of new space, including new foundations, structural steel framing, an elevator, and upgraded restroom facilities to support the expanded showroom.
A key challenge of the project was completing the work while Abt remained fully operational throughout construction. Through close coordination with project partners and careful planning of construction phases, the team minimized disruptions to daily operations and customer experience.
The newly constructed upper-level showroom is a highly finished retail environment designed to showcase Abt’s growing selection of furniture and home finishes. The space now provides customers with an elevated showroom experience while supporting the retailer’s continued expansion.
