DOWNEY, CA
Mid Counties Trans Center II
Mid Counties Trans Center II is a 44,162-square-foot industrial truck terminal on an expansive 6.82-acre site in Downey, California. A cornerstone of this project included the complete demolition of an existing rubber manufacturing plant, clearing the path for the new terminal's emergence.
The facility was constructed with reinforced concrete tilt-up panel walls and topped by a single-ply 60 mil TPO roof. This robust design ensures both structural integrity and longevity for the structure.
The building features an Early Suppression Fast Response (ESFR) sprinkler system and a robust 2000 Amp electrical system. The warehouse consists of 32' clear height, 70 dock positions and a strategically placed drive-in door. The new concrete parking lot accommodates 56 car parking spaces and 76 trailer parking spaces.
The on-site water retention system, utilizing a Storm Tech Model MC-4500 chamber system, underscores the commitment to sustainable construction practices.
