PREMIER Design + Build Group Expands Leadership Team, Naming Three as Principals

June 15, 2020 (Itasca, Ill.) – PREMIER Design + Build Group (“PREMIER”) is pleased to announce that it has elevated three company leaders to the role of Principal and created expanded roles for these longtime team members. Two of the new Principals, Michael Pacini and Mark Melone, are headquartered in the firm’s Midwest office. The third new Principal, Steven Gabbert, leads the firm’s Southwest office in Irvine, CA.

The move marks an expansion of the company’s leadership team following a sustained period of rapid growth. Founded in 2004 in the Chicago suburbs, PREMIER has grown into a national firm with offices in the Midwest, Northeast, Southeast, and Southwest.

In addition to being named Principal, Michael Pacini has been tapped as PREMIER’s new President. Pacini previously served as Vice President, overseeing a wide range of operations at PREMIER. He will continue to provide leadership to the firm’s finance, estimating, human resources, risk management, and marketing teams.

Mark Melone, who joined the firm in 2006 as its first project manager, has been named Principal, Director of Construction. Melone rose through the ranks and was instrumental in establishing PREMIER’s risk management program, as well as opening the firm’s Southeast office in the Miami market. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President, Director of Construction.

Steven Gabbert has been named Principal, Southwest Market Leader. Gabbert has been part of the PREMIER team since 2015 and led the launch of the firm’s southern California office. He has overseen the construction of a variety of projects including multi-family residential buildings, universities, medical centers, workspaces, and luxury resorts and spas. He is a LEED-accredited professional with considerable expertise in sustainability. Previously, Gabbert’s title was Executive Vice President, Southwest Market Leader.
