August 31, 2022 (Monee, IL) – PREMIER Design + Build Group and Seefried Industrial Properties, Inc. held a groundbreaking event in August to mark the launch of a major new industrial project in Chicago’s south suburbs. When construction is complete, the Monee Logistics Center will bring 621,246 square feet of new Class A industrial space to the I-80 submarket.
The facility will feature precast concrete wall panels with glass curtain wall office entries designed for two large tenants and will offer a 40’ clear height. The complex will include 52 dock positions (expandable to 106) and four drive-in doors. Prominent energy-saving features will include LED lighting inside and out, clerestory windows for natural lighting, and a high-efficiency Energy Star rated heating system.
Exterior improvements on the 50-acre property will include the creation of parking for 148 trailers (+75 future) and 410 automobiles (+130 future). The Monee site is located approximately 35 miles south of downtown Chicago and offers easy access to I-57.
PREMIER’s team for the Monee Logistics Center assignment includes project manager Dale Carter, project superintendent Wayne Nyenhuis, and senior vice president/Midwest market leader Joseph Ahrens.
