PREMIER Design + Build Group (“PREMIER”) is pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Melone to the position of executive vice president, director of construction. This promotion is a result of Mark’s 13 years of commitment and dedication to the company. Mark joined PREMIER in 2006 as its first project manager and rose through the ranks as the company continued to grow. Mark has led various project types to success nationwide and was instrumental in establishing the company's risk management program, as well as opening the company’s Miami office.
"For more than a decade, Mark has consistently risen above our expectations. He holds the PREMIER team to sky-high standards, and we are excited for Mark to take on the role of director of construction,” says PREMIER president Alan Zocher.
In his new role, Mark will oversee the overall company’s commitment to construction excellence and dedication to client service.
PREMIER also welcomes Michael Long, LEED AP, in the role of senior vice president, Midwest market leader. Michael is a construction industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience leading teams to success in a variety of building types. In this role, Michael will serve as the primary point of contact for PREMIER’s clients, ensuring client expectations are consistently exceeded. He will lead the regional team in the company’s client-first, proactive culture, anticipating project challenges before they arise. PREMIER first established a reputation for its work in the industrial and warehouse sector but has expanded scope in recent years to include a wide variety of project types including commercial, medical office, retail, interiors and adaptive reuse.
Prior to joining PREMIER, Long served as vice president at Principle Construction Corp. in Rosemont, IL. In that role, he managed building teams for a variety of project types including industrial, commercial office, retail, educational and multi-use facilities. “Michael’s office and field expertise, combined with a client-first mentality, make him a valuable asset to the team here at PREMIER. We are very fortunate to have him and extremely pleased he has joined our Midwest team,” says PREMIER executive vice president Brian Paul.
